Almost Instant Hot Millet Breakfast Cereal

Cooked grains such as millet and rice can be transformed into a delicious hot breakfast cereal in less than five minutes. Place equal amounts cooked grain and fresh water into the blender and process until fairly smooth, adding a little more water if needed to attain the consistency you prefer. Try using some plain soy milk for blending the cereal if you wish. Heat and serve as you would oatmeal or cream of rice. Add a little sea salt to taste, some cut up dates or raisins, toasted almonds or other favorite garnish. The flavor, freshness, and nutritional content of this simple meal surpasses that of any packaged breakfast product, and at a fraction of the cost.
